Day 2 of ROC the YOL – A Street Light Festival, an urban, outdoor festival in the heart of Rochester, NY that showcases the most innovative work of area light artists and features interactive light-infused spectacles – experienced under the starlit sky.
“Paradise” at Venice International Performance Art Week
At the VENICE INTERNATIONAL PERFORMANCE ART WEEK, Doug Quin and Lorne Covington present Paradise (2016), a 16.1-channel sound installation and interactive experience where visitors essentially compose a collage of virtual acoustic spaces drawn from the “natural” world. Depth cameras monitor and capture visitors’ motion and interaction, providing program control information as people together explore the exhibition space. The soundscape is a reflection of presence and agency in an “abstract wild.”
“Spirit of Autumn” at ARTECHOUSE
Immerse into a dreamlike landscape of FALL as you create your own experience and let your creativity be a part of a larger, constantly expanding collaborative piece. SPIRIT OF AUTUMN is a large-scale seasonal interactive installation from ARTECHOUSE’s creative team, utilizing the state of the art projection system installed by SILA SVETA, interactive wall technology and graphic powered by A-BLOK, and interactive floor projections created by NOIRFLUX.
“Chromarcade” and “Color Me Dancing” at ARTECHOUSE
Two NOIRFLUX interactive pieces, Chromarcade and Color Me Dancing are accompanying the Kingdom of Colors exhibition at ARTECHOUSE this November. Swirling balls of color chase and run from you, leaving chromatic comet trails on the gallery floor in Chromarcade, and the incredibly popular paint-the-floor-with-light Autumn Dance has been updated and made even more colorful for Color Me Dancing. Surfing Stardust: Destination Earth at the Smithsonian Arts & Industries Building
To accompany the Smithsonian’s Long Conversation event for this year’s Smithsonian Ingenuity Festival, NOIRFLUX has collaborated with painter Nora Maccoby to create Surfing Stardust: Destination Earth, an immersive interactive environment available for you to experience on December 1, 2017. The Long Conversation, a marathon conversation between artists, scientists and other thinkers about why we should be hopeful for the future will occur in three two-hour sessions between 3PM and 10PM in the Smithsonian’s Arts & Industries Building.
